Iranian Parliament votes to impeach labour minister

Tehran (ISNA) – Iran’s Labor Minister Ali Rabiei was impeached on Wednesday over mismanagement of the ministry and unemployment rate.

Ali Rabiei, 62, failed to secure parliament’s vote of confidence.

Rabiei lost the confidence vote in parliament by 129 votes to 111, giving President Hassan Rouhani three months to replace him.
