Iran’s Shamkhani to visit Russia

Tehran (ISNA) - Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani will travel to Suchi, Russia to attend and address the 9th International Meeting of High Representatives for Security Issues.

“Mr. Shamkhani will give a speech on the first day of the summit which will be held April 25-26. Besides explaining the security situation and the trend of political and economy developments in the region, he will devise Iran’s strategies and experiences in countering security and terrorist threats,” the head of public relations of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Alireza Zarifian Yegane said.

On the first day of the summit, two topics will be discussed: “international crises from confrontation to dialogue” and “evolution of tactics and strategies of international terrorist organizations”.

On the second day of the meeting, two other topics will be discussed: “security of international information, global responds to international challenges” and “production and spread of illegal drugs, threats to international peace and stability”.

“During the visit, holding bilateral and multilateral negotiations and consultations with security officials present at the meeting, especially the allies to the Islamic Republic, in order to advance the joint political, military and security initiatives in fighting and managing security threats will be among Mr. Shamkhani`s agenda,” Zarifian stated.
