IRGC neutralizes suicide car bomb in southeastern Iran

Tehran (ISNA) - The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) has neutralized a suicide car bomb and killed two terrorists in the southeastern Iranian city of Saravan.

“Sunday night, members of terrorist groups and armed assailants in a car bomb attempted to hit the IRGC base in Iran’s eastern frontier area but they have been neutralized,” IRGC said in a statement on Monday.

“One of the attackers who hadn’t been able to approach the base detonated his explosive vest and was killed,” the statement added.

According to the report, the suicide bombers planned to hit the IRGC base in the region.

Two security forces guards sustained injuries following the attack.
