Tehran (ISNA) – Iranian foreign ministry spokesman denied American website Al-Monitor’s report claiming that the US has issued the license of dispatching inspection equipment to Iran to monitor the implementation of the nuclear deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

“The content of the news published by the American website and the information provided about Iran is Incorrect and unrealistic,” Iranian foreign ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi said on Monday.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran has signed the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT) but has not ratified it yet. So the CTBT has no active site or inspection equipment in Iran and no information from Iran is sent to the Technical Secretariat of the Treaty and the Technical Secretariat has no control over Iran,” he added.
