Iran denies its ambassador to Ankara being summoned

Tehran (ISNA) – A diplomatic source has denied that Iranian ambassador to Ankara being summoned by Turkish foreign ministry.

The diplomatic source said that Iranian ambassador to Ankara Ebrahim Taherian held talks with the regional director general of Turkish foreign ministry on Wednesday.

Some Turkish state media quoted the country’s foreign ministry and diplomatic sources yesterday as claiming that Iranian ambassador to Ankara being summoned.

According to ISNA journalist, Turkish officials on Tuesday held a phone conversation with the Iranian ambassador to Ankara on Syria but the issue of summons of the Iranian ambassador was not raised during the phone call.
