EU trade delegation in Tehran

ایران و اتحادیه اروپا

Tehran (ISNA) - A 70-member trade delegation representing the European Union, including 25 of its high-ranking members, arrived in Tehran on Saturday.

Boosting cooperation in the agriculture sector is the central issue of the talks with Iranian authorities and businesspeople at Tehran’s Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture and the Agriculture Ministry’s headquarters, Financial Tribune reported.

Opening EU office in Tehran would also be on agenda, in hope to facilitate economic interaction between Iran and the European Union.

Last year, Majid Takht-Ravanchi, the Iranian deputy foreign minister, said Tehran was going through legal and bureaucratic stages to make possible the opening of a European Union office in Tehran.
