Iranian documentary wins special award of Russian film festival

Tehran (ISNA) – The Iranian documentary “Suzangerd” won the special award of the Zero Plus International Film Festival in Russia.

Directed by Masoumeh Nour Mohammadi, the documentary won the special award of Best Film at the scientific films section of the 4th Zero Plus International Film Festival.

The festival was held from September 30 to October 7 in Tyumen, Russia.

Nine films from Russia, the United States, Brazil, China, Mexico, Poland, Finland, Turkey, and South Korea were the competitors of Suzangerd in this category.

This Iranian documentary tells the story of a unique carpet of the Safavid era that has been taken to Japan and at the 1000-year ceremony called Gion Matsuri Festival, it will be exhibited as the symbol of beauty and power.
