Iranian parliamentary delegation to visit Iraq

Tehran (ISNA) - An Iranian parliamentary delegation will soon pay a visit to Iraq.

A member of the Iranian parliament's Committee on National Security and Foreign Policy said that at the meeting of this committee which was held to examine the developments in Iraq especially the Kurdistan Regional Government's (KRG) referendum on independence, the members managed to send a parliamentary delegation to Iraq.

Iranian deputy foreign minister Hassan Ghashghavi also attended the meeting.

At the meeting, a report was delivered about the Iranian foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif's trip to Iraq to attend the funeral of former Iraqi President Jalal Talabani and the latest measures taken by Iran, Iraq and Turkey in relation to KRG were examined.
