Iran condemns terrorist bombings in Egyptian churches

بهرام قاسمی

Tehran (ISNA) – Iranian foreign ministry spokesman Bahram Ghasemi condemned terrorist bombings in Egyptian churches which killed and injured dozens of worshippers.

Ghasemi sympathized with the Egyptian government and nation, particularly the families of those killed in the incident.

“Iran strongly condemns any aggression against religious places and gatherings and targeting civilians under any pretext,” the spokesman said.

“Such criminal acts are seeking religious seditions and aim to create fear and sow the seeds of discord among the followers of major divine religions,” he added.

“Neutralizing such plots requires the unity and vigilance of all the regional governments and nations,” Ghasemi continued.
