Iran condemns terror attack in St. Petersburg

Tehran (ISNA) – Iranian foreign ministry spokesman denounced terrorist attack on St. Petersburg metro on Monday in Russia, saying that creating insecurity and massacre of innocent people is the most contemptuous act to achieve political goals.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Ghasemi also expressed solidarity with the Russian nation and government as well as the families of the victims of the incident.

Stressing the need for international collective participation to seriously counter terrorism, he said that terrorist attack with any motivation is rejected.

"We believe uprooting the evil and barbaric crimes requires nothing but all the governments and international organizations strong resolve, in a word international counter-terrorism said.
