Iran to establish car factory in Oman


Tehran (ISNA) – Iran and Oman will continue their negotiations over the establishment of a car factory in Duqm.

“Tehran wants to establish a factory in the economic center of Duqm” Iranian charge d'affaires in Oman, Mohammad Tootoonchi announced.

“Both countries will increase bilateral business relations and Iran will open an exhibition in Muscat on January 23-27” he added.

Iran Khodro Industrial Group will showcase its cars in the Islamic Republic of Iran's Solo Exhibition in Muscat, Oman.       

Iranian Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade, Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh will attend the exhibition.

The exhibition will be held with the participation of 90 Iranian companies, of which Iran Khodro Industrial Group will present its cars such as Dena, Soren, Samand and Runna.

Oman as one of the most important trade partners of Iran in the Persian Gulf can offer IKCO an interesting market.
