Iran’s “The Apple Day” to be screened at Berlinale

Tehran (ISNA) – In its first international presence, Iranian feature film “The Apple Day” directed by Mahmoud Ghafari will be screened at the 72nd edition of Berlin International Film Festival.

The synopsis of “The Apple Day” reads, “When the truck is stolen from his father and with him his livelihood as a mobile apple seller, his son Saeed cannot meet the demand of supplying a basket of apples to school. A razor-sharp look at the age-old city versus countryside discrepancy the film follows Saeed through the alleys and streets of a Tehran suburb in search of a solution”.

The Berlin International Film Festival is going to take place in person February 10-20, 2022.
