IME witnesses higher records in value, volume of trades

Tehran (ISNA) - Within the week ending on December 10th, 2021, the IME witnessed trade of 1,977,000 tonnes of commodities with a total trading value of almost 519 million USD, posting growths of 6% in volume and 16% in value of trades compared to the figures of the previous week.

According to a report by the IME's international affairs and PR, the exchange traded on its metals and minerals trading floor 1,693,000 tonnes of commodities valued at almost 334 million USD.

Commodities sold on this floor included 1,000,275 tonnes of cement, 345,240 tonnes of steel, 81,000 tonnes of iron ore, 35,500 tonnes of sponge iron, 12,510 tonnes of copper, 10,275 tonnes of aluminum, 1,600 tonnes of zinc and 21 tonnes of precious metals concentrate.

Furthermore, the IME saw on both domestic and export pits of its oil and petrochemical trading floor 275,000 tonnes of commodities worth more than 181 million USD.

The IME's customers purchased on this floor 86,042 tonnes of polymeric products, 51,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 51,000 tonnes of lube cut, 46,980 tonnes of bitumen, 36,607 tonnes of chemicals, 3,795 tonnes of base oil and 1,309 tonnes of sulfur.

Last but not least was the IME's side market with 8,464 tonnes of commodities traded on it.
