No bilateral talks with American delegation in Vienna: Khatibzadeh

Tehran (ISNA) – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman, Saeed Khatibzadeh stressed that Iran’s negotiating team arrived in Vienna with a serious determination and will aiming to reach an agreement and the US should come to Vienna with an approach to resolve the deadlocks created in the previous rounds of talks.

Speaking at a weekly press conference on Monday, Khatibzadeh said, “Iran’s negotiating team arrived in Vienna with a serious determination and will aiming to reach an agreement and have fruitful talks”.

“The US should come to Vienna with an approach to resolve the deadlocks created in the previous talks and to lift anti-Iran sanctions,” he added.

Regarding the possibility of a direct bilateral negotiation between Iranian and American delegations in Vienna, Khatibzadeh emphasized, “There will be no bilateral talks with American delegation in Vienna”.

Stressing the determination of the Islamic Republic of Iran to support and protect the rights of the Palestinian people, the spokesman condemned the normalization of relations between some Islamic and Arab countries with the Zionist regime.

"The Zionist regime is systematically violating the rights of the Palestinian people," he said.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Khatibzadeh announced that Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian will pay a visit to China in near future.
