Tehran (ISNA) - Appreciating the people's support and cooperation with the authorities in the National Task Force Against Coronavirus, Iran’s President said, "Great, valuable measures have been taken for public vaccination and protection of people's lives and health, but it is still necessary to follow health protocols”.

Speaking on Saturday at the meeting of the National Task Force Against Coronavirus, President Ebrahim Raisi said, "Coronavirus is a matter of self-sacrifice, and problems can be overcome by maintaining and strengthening this spirit”.

The President added, "The main concern and priority of the government is to protect the lives of the people, and we will continue this path powerfully until the desired conditions are achieved".

Ayatollah Raisi described the importance of controlling traffic through the country's borders important and said, "The Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Health have a duty to control the movement of people across the borders with sensitivity and seriousness”.

"As the dimensions and volume of smart controls increase, non-smart restrictions can be reduced," the President said, emphasizing the continued use of smart controls and their impact on controlling COVID-19.

President Raisi emphasised, "Due to the general vaccination, the ban on night traffic in cities should be lifted”.
