“Atabai” to be screened at Cambridge Film Festival

Tehran (ISNA) – Iranian feature film “Atabai” directed by Niki Karimi will be screened at the competition section of the Cambridge Film Festival in the UK.

“Atabai” will be screened November 18-25, 2021at the Cambridge Film Festival.

“Atabai, 40, lives with his father and his niece in the village of Pirkandi (Khoi). He was an architecture student at Tehran University of Fine Arts many years ago and left school a year after graduating because of the emotional problems caused by his unexpected love for his colleague...,” the synopsis of “Atabai” read.

Hadi Hejazifar, Sahar Dolatshahi, Javad Ezzati, Danial Noroush, Masoumeh Robaninia and Yousefali Daryadel are among the cast members of the flick. 

The Cambridge Film Festival is the third-longest-running film festival in the UK. Established in 1977 and re-launched in 2001 after a 5-year hiatus, the Cambridge Film Festival shows a range of UK and international films that debuted at leading film festivals, including the Cannes Film Festival and Berlin Film Festival, as well as hosting UK premieres of films, alongside a broad range of specialist interest, archive, and retrospective strands. All films are open to the public to watch.
