Vienna talks must await Iran’ new administration: Araghchi

Tehran (ISNA) - Iranian deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs and the head of Iran's negotiating team in nuclear talks Abbas Araghchi stressed that Iran is in a transition period as a democratic transfer of power is underway in the country so Vienna talks must await Iran’s new administration.

“We're in a transition period as a democratic transfer of power is underway in our capital. Vienna_talks must thus obviously await our new administration. This is what every democracy demands,” Araghchi wrote on his official Twitter account about the latest developments in Vienna talks.

“US and UK need to understand this and stop linking a humanitarian exchange—ready to be implemented—with the JCPOA,” he added.

“Keeping such an exchange hostage to political aims achieves neither. TEN PRISONERS on all sides may be released TOMORROW if US and UK fulfill their part of deal,” Araghchi stressed.
