Iranian documentary “Asho” to be screened at Brussels Short Film Festival

Tehran (ISNA) - Iranian short documentary film “Asho” directed by Jafar Najafi will be screened at the 24th edition of the Brussels Short Film Festival (BSFF) in Belgium.

Brussels Short Film Festival is an Oscars Qualifying Film Festival. The winners of the Great Prize of the International and the National Competitions will be eligible for consideration in the Animated Short Film/ Live Action Short Film category of the Academy Awards.

“Asho” is the story of a young boy who knows not only how to deal with goats, but also about films. He tries to see at least one film a day. His favorite director is Tim Burton. Always on the road (Asho means “eagle”), the Iranian shepherd’s son dreams of being an actor.

The 24th Brussels Short Film Festival will take place from August 28 to September 5, 2021.
