Direct flight between Iran and Australia sets up

عبدالحسین وهاجی

Tehran (ISNA) – Iran ambassador to Australia announced, the two countries signed MoU on establishment of direct flights.

Iran ambassador to Australia, Abdol-Hossein Vahaji pointed to the MoU on aerial cooperation and said, “this MoU is binding and now Australian airlines can use Iran’s airspace for their flights to Europe. Thus some agreements are signed but to be implemented, parliament should approve them.”

“Iran also can use Australia’s airspace but because we have no flight to this country, this opportunity will remain unused”, he added.

Vahaji said, “receiving aerial services and setting up of direct flights between these two countries’ cities including Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Tehran, Mashhad, Shiraz and Esfahan will provide after separate agreements between Iran and Australia’s airlines.”
