2 deputies of Iranian FM arrive in Kabul

Tehran (ISNA) – Heading an expert delegation, two deputies of Iranian foreign minister arrived in the Kabul, capital of Afghanistan.

Iranian deputy foreign minister for legal and international affairs Seyyed Abbas Araghchi and the deputy foreign minister foe Asia-Pacific affairs Ebrahim Rahimpour have traveled to Kabul to participate in the second round of Iran-Afghanistan negotiations to prepare a comprehensive strategic cooperation document between the two countries.

The talks are held on Sunday in the form of two committees of water and security cooperation.

According to the reports, the both sides will discuss the security cooperation in borders, fighting terrorism and extremist groups, drugs, definition of terrorist group as well as training the Afghan security forces during the security committee meeting.

In the water committee meeting, both sides will talk about the water issue of the Hirmand River, Heray Rud River, Hamun wetlands as well as the joint cooperation of Iran and Afghanistan in the field of water.
