Iran Wushu team wins World Championships for the first time

Tehran (ISNA) – Iran’s national team has won the World Wushu Championships for the first time.

With a total of 11 medals, the Iran’s national team stood at the first place of the competitions

China became runner-up with seven gold medals and one silver. Host Russia finished in third place after winning two gold, one silver and two bronze medals.

The 14th World Wushu Championships (WWC) took place from Sept. 27 to Oct. 3 in Kazan City, Russia.

The tournament brought together approximately 860 competitors from 57 countries.
