A tree dedicated to Abbas Kiarostami at Karlovy Vary Festival

درختی به نام کیارستمی

Tehran (ISNA) – A tree was dedicated to the world-renowned Iranian filmmaker Abbas Kiarostami at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in the Czech Republic, as the one-year anniversary of the death of him was honored by screening his film “76 Minutes and 15 Seconds” during the event.

According to his friends and family, Abbas Kiarostami loved the tree which is very tall and placed in the middle of a park, near to the Festival palace.

“Whenever Kiarostami traveled to the Czech Republic to take part at the festival, he often sat under the tree and enjoyed the beauty of that. Actually, he loved nature,” they said.
