Iran, Zimbabwe discuss ways of developing economic ties

سفیر ایران در زیمباوه

Tehran (ISNA) – Iranian ambassador to Harare Ahmad Erfanian met with Zimbabwean industry minister Mike Bimha and discussed the ways to develop economic and trade relations between the two countries.

“The level of economic and trade cooperation between Iran and Zimbabwe isn’t satisfactory despite the good relations between the two countries,” Erfanian said during the meeting.

“The knowledge of the two sides about the capacities and abilities of each other is still a little but by facilitating greater participation of private sector, exchanging trade delegations, attending in exhibitions of each other and signing a trade agreement, we can pave the way for economic and trade cooperation between Iran and Zimbabwe,” he added.

Pointing to the friendly relations between the two countries, Mike Bimha said: “much work has been done in economic and trade field despite the frequent visits and signing multiple documents”.

“We also welcome the greater participation of private sector, attending in exhibitions of each other and exchanging trade delegations between the two countries,” he added.
