Tehran (ISNA) – Iranian foreign ministry issued travel warning urging Iranian citizens not to visit Turkey due to security concerns during Nowruz holidays, the Persian New Year.

Mentioning the recent security concerns toward Turkey, Iranian foreign ministry said in a statement a week before Nowruz, “citizens avoid unnecessary travel to this country”.

Turkey is one of the most important destinations for Iranians but the country has suffered lack of security especially after its recent attempted coup and several terrorist attacks.
