TEHRAN (ISNA)- FIFA has inaugurated a medical center of excellence, in the IFMARC (Centre for Research and medical evaluation of Iranian football) in Tehran.
The IFMARC provides a first class medical care to the best players of the country. First of its kind to emerge in Central Asia, it covers several areas: sports medicine, rehabilitation and assessment of physical condition. Patients will also receive advice on injury prevention.
Iranian medical experts of international repute have joined the Medical Center of Excellence FIFA, who will be able to provide services of the highest quality players, men and women, but also officials and coaches.
The center aims to feed databases with all amateurs, semi-professionals and professionals, to help research, injury prevention programs and standardization of football medicine in close cooperation with F-MARC.
A member of the FIFA Medical Committee and President of the AFC Medical Committee, Dato 'Gurcharan Singh handed over the certificate opening to the President of the Iranian Football Federation, Ali Kafashian, and Head of IFMARC Zohreh Haratian.
Players, officials and Iranian coaches are not the only ones to benefit from this new facility.
Multifunctional, the IFMARC houses a performance section, a gym, a space recovery, a rehabilitation center, treatment rooms and a hydrotherapy center. It is located in close proximity to four football pitches, an artificial pitch, a private futsal, a beach soccer field and several hotels.
