Iran says P5+1 can be back to talks with a logical approach

TEHRAN (ISNA)-Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast warns against the EU mistake in imposing new round of sanctions on Iran and recommends that the EU and the P5+1 adopt a logical approach towards the issue.

Iran has always voiced readiness for constructive talks and raised its proposals to the five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany clearly during negotiations in Moscow where representatives of the six counties asserted that the proposals were comprehensive and constructive, he said on Tuesday in a press conference in Tehran.

"We believe that the mistakes in their calculations keep them away from reaching a satisfying result," Mehmanparast said referring to Tehran's talks with EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton and European Union new sanctions.

"We recommend that instead of wrong approaches and insisting on pressures which only grow Iranian nation more integrated, they can be back to talks through a logical approach, they don't know the spirit of Iran's nation, such measures are wrong and have no achievement for them," he asserted.

European Union on Monday agreed upon imposing further sanctions against Iran's banking, shipping and industrial sectors in order to put pressures on Tehran over its nuclear program that the West claim has military intentions. Iran has always rejected the allegations and IAEA investigations have proved there are no military diversions.
