TEHRAN (ISNA)-Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Director Fereydoun Abbasi Davani raised on Monday the possibility of terrorists infiltrating into the IAEA and influencing decisions in the agency.
"Terrorists and saboteurs might have infiltrated into the agency (IAEA) and make decisions covertly," he said at the annual member state gathering of the IAEA in Vienna.
On August 17, explosives were used to cut power lines of Fordow uranium enrichment facility, a measure that is one of the ways to break down centrifuge machines, he said.
"A day later IAEA inspectors ask for an unannounced visit to the facility, doesn't this inspection have any connection to the detonation?" he added.
According to Abbasi the same act had been carried out on power lines of Natanz nuclear facility.
He also noted that the 50 percent increase in the number of Natanz centrifuges and raising production of 20 percent enriched uranium in Fordow is a measure to restrain probable similar damages.
